Annie Garmey, Chief Advancement Officer, Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts
Annie is an experienced nonprofit executive who has worked in the fields of education, homelessness, and racial and gender equity. She has over 36 years of experience in roles that have required an expertise in strategic planning, marketing and public relations, annual and capital giving, corporate giving, special events and grant writing. She began her fundraising career working for the Harvard College Fund and then moved on to The Rivers School, an independent day school in Weston Mass working in alumni affairs, annual giving and capital campaigns. She has since served on the senior leadership teams of four Boston area-based nonprofits, Hearth, Inc., Mass Insight Education, YW Boston, and currently Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts where she has been for over two years. She has served as volunteer and a board member at a number of local organizations and is currently serving as a mentor at Partakers, an organization working to reduce prison recidivism through educational opportunities. Annie is a graduate of The Winsor School in Boston and has a BA from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.
Elisabeth Kasdorf-Torney, Director of Events & Experiences, UNICEF USA
Having worked in the events industry for over 16 years, Elisabeth Kasdorf-Torney currently serves as the Director of Events & Experiences at UNICEF USA. Throughout her career at UNICEF USA, The AIDS Foundation of Chicago, and as an events consultant, Elisabeth led events ranging from galas and speaker series to film premieres and immersive, interactive experiences. Specializing in storytelling, Elisabeth’s events connect audiences in the U.S. to children, their families, and communities around the world.
Emily Williams, Director, Career and Alumni Engagement, Harvard University Graduate School of Education
Emily Williams is the Director of Alumni Engagement and Lifelong Career Development at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE). In her role, she oversees HGSE’s alumni engagement and career services efforts to ensure current students and graduates maintain strong connections to the School and have opportunities to engage in timely, relevant professional development opportunities. Prior to her career in alumni engagement and career development, Emily began her career in the international travel industry partnering with non profit organizations on their member travel programs. She is a native of the DC Metro area and currently resides in Malden, where she serves as Vice President of the Parent Teacher Organization for the Early Learning Center and helps coach Tee-ball. Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology and French from Union College (NY) and a Master of Arts degree from Lesley University.
