Danielle Klainberg
Danielle is passionate about strengthening the capacity and impact of civil society organizations and the nonprofit sector. Mission and results-driven, Danielle has three decades of experience as a nonprofit strategist and leader. She has built, coached, and led high performing team securing over $300 million through capital and comprehensive campaigns, major donor and annual fundraising, and institutional grants. Her expertise encompasses strategic planning, leadership development, coaching, program design and evaluation, and communications. Danielle has held leadership roles with Amnesty International, Arava Institute, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Oxfam, WGBH Foundation, and World Education.  In 2008, she established DEK Associates Consulting, Inc., a comprehensive fundraising and strategy firm focused on delivering customized support to nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. Danielle has contributed her expertise as a member of various nonprofit boards, advisory committees, and campaign teams. She has been invited to speak at a number of professional nonprofit conferences and workshops. Danielle earned a Master’s degree from Columbia University School of International & Public Affairs and a B.A. from Brandeis University.

Nashira Baril
Nashira Baril (she/her) is the founder of Neighborhood Birth Center, which will be Boston’s first community birth center providing full-scope midwifery care to address the maternal health crisis. With a master’s degree in Maternal and Child Health from Boston University and 20 years of experience advancing racial equity in public health, she also co-founded Birth Center Equity in 2020 and has worked at the Boston Public Health Commission, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and Human Impact Partners. In 2024, Nashira was honored at Black Excellence on the Hill, featured on NPR’s All Things Considered, and selected as a TEDx Global Editor’s Pick for her talk “Lighting the Lanterns: Birth as a Portal to Liberation.”

 

Janet Lawn
Janet Lawn is a senior development professional with extensive experience leading small development shops and spearheading successful campaigns. Since joining Samaritans, Inc. in 2014, she has expanded signature events, strengthened corporate and individual giving, built a major gifts program, and now leads the $26 million Every Conversation Counts comprehensive campaign. Previously, she held key fundraising roles at GLAD Law, Horizons for Homeless Children, and Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence, and in late 2025 she will launch a consulting practice focused on small shops, major gifts, and campaign fundraising.

 

 

 Sharon Stanczak
Sharon Stanczak, CFRE, has worked in the advancement field for over 25 years and currently serves as Chief Advancement Officer for the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) in Woods Hole, MA. Before joining MBL, she worked at Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research as Vice President for External Relations and Secretary of the Board of Directors. Prior to that time, she worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for 11 years. She has contributed to the success of multiple campaigns, ranging from small, focused efforts, to a $6B comprehensive campaign. She served as the fundraising lead for MIT's Healthcare Initiative, which included oversight of fundraising for the Koch Institute at MIT as well as MIT.nano, MIT's nanotechnology facility. She also worked for the Folger Shakespeare Library, the University of Maryland and the Freer and Sackler Galleries of the Smithsonian Institution.
