Women in Development of Greater Boston

The Program Committee Presents:

"Fundraising and Social Media"

Read the summary from this program

Speaker: Tyson Goodridge

After today's program you will come away with a basic understanding of Social Media and how to best implement a social media strategy for your nonprofit. The program will cover the evolution of Social Media, the most popular tools and platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin) and examples of best uses of social media for organizations and individuals. You will come away with significant understanding of the space, and be ready to make social media a part of your fundraising efforts.

Tyson Goodridge is founder and principal of Dialogue. Dialogue is a Boston-based Social Media Educational and Consulting firm. We teach and inspire our clients to deepen connections, expand their networks, and grow their business using Social Media.

Mr. Goodridge has spent 15 years in consumer marketing, public relations and social media. He has placed clients on CNN and The Today Show, and along the way, raised money for ALS Research. He's worked with Tom Watson and the PGA TOUR, The Islands of the Bahamas and Pebble Beach Resorts.

While with a Boston-based marketing firm, he helped execute the national consumer launch of iVillage.com, and secured placements with the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. Most recently, Tyson managed an online community for three years, and managed social media marketing for a startup firm based in Boston.

Tyson has a solid understanding of the Web 2.0 space and has experience in development and execution of online marketing strategies. Current and past Dialogue clients include: The Wenham Museum, Lowell General Hospital, The Charles River Conservancy, Right Management, and more.
