"The Work-Life Challenge: Create a Life that Works"

September 30, 2009 - Program Summary

Faun Zarge

On September 30, Faun Zarge (www.zarge.com) led a lively discussion about finding and maintaining Work/Life Balance. Her answer? "There's no magic bullet." She did help, however, by giving the audience some tools to use to reevaluate priorities and establish some control.

Her most important message was to MAKE YOURSELF A PRIORITY. Caring for yourself is the most generous gift you can give yourself and it should be your #1 responsibility. Subsequent to that, you need to be honest about your other priorities. Clarity about priorities promotes better decision making about how to spend your time and energy. Priorities should also be reevaluated on a regular basis.

Other helpful hints… LEARN TO SAY NO – to yourself as well as to others! DELEGATE – being clear with people about what you need. And GET ORGANIZED.

You can do it all, just not all at the same time!
