The Program Committee presents The Kickoff Event of WID's 2010-2011 Program Year

"A Conversation with Beth S. Klarman, President, The Klarman Family Foundation"

Read the summary from this program

WID welcomes noted philanthropic leader Beth Schultz Klarman as our keynote speaker. Beth brings thoughtfulness, vision, and compassion to philanthropy. You don't have to look very far in any direction in this city to find a project, an institution, or a person who has been touched by Beth's energy and generosity. Come enjoy a networking lunch with colleagues, and hear how The Klarman Family Foundation continues to be a force for change.

Beth S. Klarman is President of The Klarman Family Foundation. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Facing History and Ourselves, and is a founder and Executive Committee member of the Boston Jewish Community Women's Fund. Beth is a founding board member of the Jewish Women's Archive and serves on the Board of Directors of From The Top. Beth also serves on the McLean Hospital National Council. She has a B.S.W. degree from New York University School of Social Work, and has worked as a social worker and in the field of healthcare marketing. Beth's husband, Seth, is President of The Baupost Group L.L.C., an investment firm in Boston. Seth and Beth have three children and live in Chestnut Hill, MA.
