The Program Committee Presents:

"The 2010 Annual Meeting & Young Philanthropist Award Luncheon"

A Celebration of the Present and Future of Philanthropy

Speaker: Lynn Margherio

At our Annual Meeting, join WID to kick off a new program year and meet your newest WID leaders.

WID's Young Philanthropist and Young Volunteer Awards celebrate youth in our community who are making a difference by advancing the spirit of philanthropy and volunteerism. As WID members, we want to recognize these outstanding young leaders, who inspire their peers and adults alike, who have developed a model of philanthropic practice for future generations, and who make vital contributions that advance the mission of nonprofit organizations.

Lynn Margherio, is the Founder and CEO of Cradles to Crayons, a locally based nonprofit that equips homeless and in-need children, infants to age 12, with the basic essentials they need to feel safe, warm, valued and ready to learn. By mobilizing communities of plenty on behalf of communities of need, this innovative model program benefits tens of thousands of children annually in Massachusetts and Greater Philadelphia.

Lynn has more than 20 years of business consulting, public policy and nonprofit experience. She served as Executive Vice President of the Clinton Foundation's HIV/AIDS Initiative, helping to launch and build President Clinton's program to assist countries in the developing world to plan and implement large-scale HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs. As a business strategist, she has advised Fortune 500 companies on growth strategies, competitive positioning, and investment/acquisition opportunities. Her career has also included public policy roles at the national and state levels, including as a senior member of the health care reform team in the Clinton White House. Lynn graduated from Georgetown University and currently resides in Boston with her husband Brian and children Kyra and Eliot.

Please note that we will be electing the 2010-2011 WID Board at this meeting.
