Women in Development: Celebrating A Quarter Century

The Program Committee Presents:

"All Life is Relationship: Philanthropy in an Internet World "

Speaker: Steven Grossman, President, MassEnvelopePlus, former chair of Democratic National Committee, active philanthropist

Connecting and communicating with donors in a meaningful and substantive way is the key to building and sustaining long-lasting relationships for your organization. With increasingly fast-paced and busy lives in our "internet world," it can be challenging for development professionals to have the type of face-to-face donor interaction that traditionally has helped build and maintain strong relationships. Come hear firsthand from a leading philanthropist on ways that development professionals can engage high-level donors in a meaningful way and, ultimately, strengthen their relationship with our organizations. Attendees of this program will walk away with helpful tools and "do's and don'ts" for development professionals at all levels.

Steven Grossman is the President of MassEnvelopePlus, a fourth-generation family-owned business and a full-service provider of marketing communications materials and promotional products. Steve is active in Democratic politics and is the former chair of the Democratic National Committee, and was a Massachusetts gubernatorial candidate in the 2002 election. Steve and his wife, Barbara, are very active philanthropists. A true community leader, he serves on numerous boards and many organizations benefit from his involvement including Brandeis University, Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston, Museum of Fine Arts, Buckingham, Browne & Nichols School, Dimock Community Health Center, Massachusetts Institute for a New Commonwealth, Temple Emanuel, Facing History and Ourselves, Project Bread, The Women’s Union and Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston. Steve is the recipient of many honors and awards including the Community Leadership Award from the Franciscan Children's Hospital, Tikkun Olam Award from Merrimack College Center for the Study of Jewish-Christian Relations, Leader in Philanthropy Award from AFP, Distinguished Community Service Award from the Anti-Defamation League, and the Hubert H. Humphrey Humanitarian Award from the National Jewish Democratic Council (just to name a few).
