"Navigating Your Advancement Career"

April 12, 2011 - Program Summary

On April 12, Amy Bronson, the Director of Recruitment and Professional Training at Boston University, gave a presentation about "Navigating your Advancement Career." She made the case for taking your career into your own hands and discussed ways to do that. Major topics included Career Goals and Paths, Self Assessment, the Job Market, and Nuts and Bolts. Some highlights from Amy's presentation were being strategic and building your own brand, making a match between your own goals and those of the organization, managing up as well as down and sideways, and specifics such as information interviewing and networking. Amy has a great sense of humor and much experience in the field and we enjoyed ourselves learning from her. Thank you Amy!
