Speakers: Jennifer Anderson, Director of Communications, New Profit Inc. and Danielle Boudreau, Director of Investor Relations, New Profit Inc.

The wealth generation and business practices of the 1990s helped birth a new kind of philanthropist--one who demands equivalent discipline and accountability from his nonprofit donations as from his for-profit investing. These "venture philanthropists" helped birth a new era for the nonprofit sector by encouraging nonprofit organizations to account for their results and provide greater transparency into their impact. Founded in 1998, New Profit Inc. was one of the early models of venture philanthropy to apply the core principles of venture capital--to scale promising innovations that have the potential to achieve systemic impact in the nonprofit sector. Join us to learn about this innovative approach and how to appeal to the increasingly sophisticated philanthropist.

Jennifer Anderson, Director of Communications, New Profit Inc.
Jen joined New Profit in 2004 as special projects manager for President and Founder Vanessa Kirsch, supporting a variety of efforts including the annual Gathering of Leaders. Beginning in 2007, she assumed responsibility for New Profit's communications, overseeing strategy development, print publications, and web sites and online presence, working to ensure that all communications activities support New Profit's strategy and goals. Prior to joining New Profit, Jen spent two years living in Puerto Natales, a small town in the far south of Chile. Before moving abroad, Jen worked for nearly five years at the Corporate Executive Board in Washington, DC as a Research Associate and then an Associate Director of Research.

Danielle Boudreau, Director of Investor Relations, New Profit Inc.
As the Director of Investor Relations, Danielle serves as the official liaison between New Profit and its community of investors. She oversees all investor-related communications efforts; fields inquiries from investors, and organizes events that enable the investor community to learn more about portfolio organizations and their impact. Before joining the team at New Profit in March 2005, Danielle was a fundraiser for two nonprofit organizations, and served as the manager of a venture capital firm. She also worked for the alumni office at Babson College.
