The Program Committee Presents:
"Small Shop: Balancing Priorities with Limited Resources"
Read the summary from this program
Roundtable Discussions Led by Five Panelists
For the small shop it's the best of times and the worst of times: the worst because resources are more scarce than ever; the best because the organizations that will survive this challenging economy are the ones that can be very nimble and creative – two of the hallmarks of a small shop! Join us as five small shop leaders share their perspectives, and then join a guided roundtable discussion where you can share ideas and learn what other shops are doing to cope with troubling times.
Panelists:
Tanya Holton – Senior Director of Development, Kenneth B. Schwartz Center
Having directed development at the National Braille Press for over nine years, and chairing the AFP conference since 2008, Tanya has her finger on the pulse of the small shop and their unique needs.
Cristine More – Independent Nonprofit Organization Management Consultant
Prior to becoming a consultant to a wide variety of nonprofits, Cris spent over twenty years raising money in the community hospital environment, most recently as the VP of Development at Milton Hospital.
Leemarie Mosca – Director of Development, Rosie’s Place
Leemarie has extensive experience in small shop development and public relations, primarily within the realm of social service, serving some of our most vulnerable citizens.
Mary Myers – Vice President of Development, Campaign for Catholic Schools
Mary cut her teeth on development in larger shops; but since 2007 she has been leading a significant effort in a small shop dedicated to rebuilding Boston Catholic schools.
Barbara Shenker – Director of Development, hopeFound
Seventeen years ago, Barbara transitioned from the for-profit world and brought her experience in journalism, communications, sales and marketing to both educational and social service small shops.
