The Program Committee Presents:
"Get the Biggest Bang for Your Buck: Building Leadership Annual Giving Programs"
Read the summary from this program
Speakers: Hilary Marshall, Director, MGH Fund, Massachusetts General Hospital; and Jennifer Moriarty Hagen, Assistant Director, MGH Fund, Massachusetts General Hospital
Are you looking to secure leadership gifts for your Annual Fund, year after year? In both large and small shops, an Annual Fund needs a steady stream of leadership gifts, whether those gifts are $1,500, $10,000, or $50,000. In this interactive session, learn from Annual Fund professionals Hilary Marshall and Jen Hagen of Mass General how to build a pipeline of leadership gifts for your Annual Fund – regardless of the size of your shop.
We will discuss strategies for creating, building, and implementing a leadership gift program, and will focus on how Annual Fund leadership giving functions within the organization, and how it interacts with major gifts and capital campaigns. This program is designed for Annual Fund professionals from all sizes of organizations and a variety of industries.
Hilary Marshall has nearly 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector, working in a variety of roles in small, medium and large shops. Hilary began her career at United Way of Massachusetts Bay where she worked in marketing, creating training programs, speakers’ bureaus, special events and fundraising toolkits. From United Way, Hilary spent a large part of her career at Big Sister Association of Greater Boston as the Director of Development and Communications where she did everything from grant writing, to annual fund, to special events and individual giving. Now, at Mass General for two and a half years, Hilary is charged with raising $100M in unrestricted giving by the end of 2013.
Jennifer Moriarty Hagen is the Assistant Director of the MGH Fund, and is responsible for building a comprehensive program that successfully engages the high end segment of their constituency. Jennifer brings a strong background in Annual Giving, with extensive experience in volunteer management, direct mail and online marketing, phonathons, and fundraising programs specifically targeting alumni, parents, faculty/staff, and students. She most recently served as Director of Annual Giving at Mary Baldwin College, where she created an annual leadership giving program from the ground up.
