25 Ways to Get Involved With WID

1. Serve on a WID committee! There are a number to choose from including Primary Programs Committee, Annual Meeting Committee, Nominating Committee, Brown Bag/Dialogue Committee, Membership Committee, and the City Service Committee.

2. Share your knowledge and experiences as a development professional and become a mentor.

3. Nominate someone for WID's annual Young Philanthropist Award.

4. Recruit a new member to WID.

5. Bring a colleague to a WID program.

6. Speak at a WID program.

7. Suggest a speaker or topic for a WID program.

8. Join the WID Board.

9. Check out the WID website.

10. Nominate a vendor for WID's on-line vendor directory - it's a free service for WID members.

11. Post a position on WID's monthly job listings.

12. Participate in WID's 25th Anniversary Salary Survey.

13. Volunteer to help other non-profit organizations through WID's City Service program.

14. Read the monthly 25th Anniversary Quarter Reports - visit www.widgb.org to view all the Quarter Reports.

15. Call a fellow WID member for advice - WID's membership is approaching 1000 talented members - WID's member database is available to members on-line at www.widgb.org.

16. Attend WID's upcoming primary luncheon program "Diversity in Nonprofit Leadership" on Tuesday, May 3 featuring Benaree Wiley, President and CEO of The Partnership.

17. Solicit a sponsor for WID's annual meeting, or be a sponsor yourself.

18. Write an article for WID's website or monthly e-news.

19. Don't miss out! Renew your WID membership promptly.

20. Give an informational interview to someone interested in pursuing a career in development.

21. Email WID President Betsy Kamborian (betsy@lawlnk.com) or another WID Board member with comments and suggestions. We'd love to hear from you!

22. Participate in the WID/Simmons School of Management seminar series.

23. Review WID's monthly job listings, and pass them along to others who might be interested.

24. Mark your calendar and plan to celebrate with WID at our 25th Anniversary Annual Meeting on September 21, 2005.
