Ann Caldwell has served as President of the MGH Institute of Health Professions since 1997. Ann has more than twenty-five years of experience in academic administration, fund-raising, teaching, and publishing. As the former Vice President for Development at Brown University, she was the first woman to serve as a chief development officer in the Ivy League. Ann began her career at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she was editor of the alumni magazine, and later worked at Phillips Academy in Andover during its $50 million bicentennial campaign. She served as Vice President for Planning and Resources for ten years at Wheaton College and was later the Associate Director of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

A frequent speaker at professional conferences and seminars, Ann has taught a graduate course in non-profit management at Radcliffe and has served as faculty for the HERS program at Wellesley College, as well as published articles in professional books and journals. She is a trustee of the American Laryngological Voice Research and Education Foundation and the John Hope Settlement House, and a member of the Commission on Women of the American Council on Education. She is a former trustee of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and The Women’s Union.
