The Benefits of Membership
Membership in Women in Development provides access to the following
programs and services.
Invitations to Regular Programs
During the year, invitations to programs addressing a broad
range of topics are extended to all WID members. WID offers
programs featuring distinguished speakers on a variety of topics,
skill-building workshops, and special seminars on timely issues
for both experienced professionals and newcomers to the field.
Member Database
Published annually in the fall, with an addendum in spring,
the Member Database lists all WID members alphabetically,
by institution, and by area(s) of expertise. Members also have
access to the Member Database through the WID web site.
Job Listing
The Job Listing announces job postings in the development field
through a monthly listing. The Job Listing is published and
mailed each month to WID members and can also be accessed by
members through the WID web site.
City Service
Through WID's unique City Service program, professional fundraisers
offer pro bono development consulting services to small nonprofits
in the Greater Boston area. City Service volunteers gain valuable
professional experience and the satisfaction of helping others,
while their nonprofit clients obtain expert advice and assistance
in planning fundraising and board activities.
