About Women in Development
Women in Development of Greater Boston offers a variety of
programs, services and opportunities for volunteer involvement.
Members help one another develop and improve professional skills,
share information about employment opportunities, and foster
a climate which promotes professional achievement.
Since its founding in 1980 by a small group of development
professionals, WID has matured into a vital organization approaching 1000 members. Today it is one of the largest organizations
of advancement professionals in Massachusetts.
Membership is available in two categories:
- Nonprofit Membership - Open to individuals who are or have
been affiliated with nonprofit organizations and with primary
responsibility for the development of resources to support
the organization, or who provide services in the field of
institutional advancement and support the mission of WID of
Greater Boston, Inc.
- Affiliate Membership - Open to individuals who support
the mission of WID and are seeking to transition from the
for-profit sector, or who currently work in an affiliated
for-profit business or industry.
