Name: Neighborhood Action, Inc.

Mission:

NAI's mission is to meet the immediate physical, medical and social needs of its homeless, aged and impoverished guests by providing food, clothing, medical attention, fellowship and emotional support.

Programs & Services: NAI provides food, medical, and emotional assistance to the homeless.
Annual Budget: Not provided
Staff: 2 full-time, 1 part-time, volunteers, and 1 grant writing consultant
Board Size: 12; the Board has financial oversight of the organization and is responsible for the hiring and firing of the Executive Director.
Fundraising: 70% foundation and corporate grants; 10% churches; 10% individual donors; 5% organizations; 5% other
Fundraising Challenges: NAI is currently involved in grant writing and is looking to start an annual campaign and embark upon the solicitation of major gifts. The organization also hopes to launch public relations efforts as a means of attracting increased fundraising opportunities.
Consultant Needs: NAI would benefit from working with a consultant who has annual giving and major gifts experience. The organization is involved in grant writing, so a consultant with oversight in this area would be helpful as well. Public relations experience as it relates to fundraising is a plus.
